SAFE India designs and implements evidence-based road safety programmes that protect vulnerable road users, strengthen institutions, and support governments in creating safer and more sustainable transport systems.
Our projects combine engineering, education, research, community engagement, and policy advocacy to deliver measurable improvements in road safety across India.
The objective of “Ride Safe India” to increase basic road safety awareness of students, parents, and teachers. As road safety is in the curriculum of secondary students, this awareness programme helped them a better understanding of different aspects of safe behaviour on the road, uses of traffic signages, safe habits while using roads and basic road safety rules. We focused different beneficiary groups in this programme aimed to get maximum impact and a wider coverage. We tried to include Parents, Teachers, students aged 4 years to 8 years and secondary students in the entire programme for awareness.
Ride Safe India was the CSR initiative of Hero MotoCorp partnership with IHIF- Indian Head Injury Foundation implemented in 10 States.
